“Vessel Casualty Report gives details of vessels which have met with some casualty while carrying cargo from one Port to another and which may have resulted in (i) loss/damage to the cargo carried in the vessel or (ii) General Average Loss/Expenditure.
Please go through the Casualty Report and check whether your cargo had been carried in any of the vessels mentioned therein and check with your Cargo Handling Agents whether there is any loss/damage to your cargo. If yes, we can help you in arranging survey and doing other formalities related to the Insurance Claim.
Even if there is no loss/damage to your cargo, there may be a General Average Loss/Expenditure incurred by other Cargo Owners /Shipping Co. for which the Shipping Company may send you notice demanding your share of loss. Similarly, in case your cargo is part of the General Average Loss, you need to recover the loss. In such events also, we can help you in completing the Insurance formalities”.

“BFI-1” – IMO:9411874 – Flag: Russia – Type: Cargo Ship
The ‘Bfi-1’ has been sold to breakers in Aliaga. The ship had suffered an engine failure at Kamysh-Burun, Ukraine, on June 5, 2018. Repairs could not be carried out due to the expensive costs. The ship which had been berthed in Kerch left the port on June 6 and was due to arrive in Aliaga on June 16 under tow of the Russian tug ‘Germes’ (IMO:8920945).
“MPV URANIA” – IMO:9238820 – Flag: Marshall Islands – Type: Cargo Ship
The ‘MPV Urania’ ran aground off Sasah, southwest Bintan Island, Riau Islands, on June 10, 2020, at 8 p.m. The ship was under tow to Singatac Lobam. Unfavourable weather and strong current contributed to the accident. With the high tide at 10.30 p.m. the ship was refloated and berthed in Singatac Lobam on June 11 at 2.30 a.m.

The ‘Super Servant 4’ with five luxury yachts on her deck developed heavy starboard list at Palma, Majorca, on June 8, 2020. The ship literally hang on mooring lines, which saved it from capsizing. A faulty ballasting system is thought to be the cause of the trouble. The situation was brought under control and the ship could be stabilized
