As we all are aware about the expected impact of cyclone –“ Tauktee “ on western coast of India. IMD has categorized cyclone as a very severe as on now and issued warning of heavy rain fall resulting floods and landslides over the coastal area of Kerla, karnataks, Goa & some parts of Guajrat
We are praying for safety of you and your Property from this natural disaster/ catastrophic event .
To minimized the damages in case of any unfortunate event and further smooth claim process , Beacon Insurance Broker advise you to follow some “Do’s” & “Don’ts” as mentioned below
“Do’s”
- In case of any claim , report the loss immediately to Beacon representative.
- Till the survey visit , please take some photographs / video recording indicating water level /flood / inundation and showing damages to building / roofs etc
- Segregate damage material from sound material to avoid aggravation of loss.
- Try to evaluate estimate of loss and update immediately
- Co-operate with surveyor during the survey process
- If possible appoint only one person to deal with the surveyor
- Generate SAP / ERP / any other system generated stock data showing position of stock as on date of incidence
- Immediately approach to repairer and take the estimate
- Report the loss with local authority for Panchanama ( if require )
- Obtain at least 3 salvage quotes from market at the earliest.
- Arrange local Newspaper cutting stating impact of cyclone / certificate from metrological Dept.
Don’ts
- Do not dispose off any material prior to survey visit / surveyor advise
- Do not start any repair work prior to surveyor visit / surveyor advise.
- Please Don’t share any documents directly with surveyor . Share the same though Beacon only
- Do not share irrelevant information / documents with the surveyor
