We are continuing to our previous communication in regard to Israel-Palestine conflict. Where we had conveyed regarding probable impact on our Marine cargo policy in future.

We would like to inform you that War & Srcc cover under marine cargo policy has been withdrawn W.e.f 20/10/2023 by some of the insurers (HDFC, ICICI, Etc.). Some insurers have issued the notification to cancel the cover while others may follow the same suit.

Any shipment made to/from/through ISRAEL, PALESTINE & LEBANON will not be covered for War & Srcc. However marine risk for these shipment are still intact.

Shipment made before 20/10/2023 will be absolved from this withdrawal notification and war & SRCC cover for those shipment will not be affected. This notification will be applicable to new shipment risk only occurring after expiry of notice period.

The Notice of cancellation will be effective from October 20, 2023, 12:00 PM and War risk will not be there from October 27, 2023.

Please note that we have seen diversion of the shipments and return of multiple shipment as well in Russia-Ukraine war. So we request you to let us know or connect to us in case any such diversion or return of shipment to ensure the cover under marine cargo policy.
